HOMELAND SECURITY
the cutting edge for national defense planning
Never has the need for timely, accurate, and consistent community safety
information been more important. How well you plan for situations and
inform your first response personnel can make the difference between a
timely resolution and an expanding crisis.
Introducing Pictometry a proven and powerful information system that
takes preplanning and crisis management tools for first responders to the
next level. With only minutes of training you can thoroughly inspect and
analyze every square foot, from up to 12 different views, of every airport,
chemical refinery, dam, school, port, bridge, power plant, or building. With
stunning clarity you can see manholes, power lines, windows, doors, and
other features within your jurisdiction. Pictometrys digital images are
primarily oblique (taken at an angle),making building and property attributes
easier to recognize. Straightdown images (orthogonals) are also provided.
Using Pictometry, you can quickly measure distances, heights, and areas
within each image. Detailed tactical response plans can also be overlaid
on every image, providing a wealth of information: warehouse inventories;
structural composition; location of neighboring homes; impact of wind
direction; evacuations; and traffic control. The end result is a more
thoroughly prepared public safety program that saves time, resources,
and lives.
