Pictometry offers free web-based webinar training to all of our customers on a weekly basis. We use Citrix Online's GoToWebinar technology to easily connect you to our instructions desktop. Audio comes through your computer or you can dial in via telephone. Questions can be asked or typed in through the remote interface. To sign up for a webinar, please select a registration link from one of the classes below. You will then be taken to a registration page. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email from Citrix Online, which will contain the link to join the webinar, along with telephone information.

This comprehensive one-hour webinar introduces the web application Pictometry Online. We discuss how to access POL, and how to make use of free resources like the Coverage Map and Practice Area. Then we will log in and discuss address searches and navigating between orthogonal (straight down) and oblique (at an angle) images. We will also introduce basic measurement tools such as distance, area, height and more.

The second half will introduce you to creating and saving 'workspaces', which will help you save time and be more efficient in sharing your work. We will describe what a workspace consists of, and will build one using a hypothetical task you might be faced with. This will include finding the image you are interested in, bookmarking it, making measurements, and then changing those measurements into annotations. Then we will look at exporting, printing and sharing workspaces. It is suggested (but not required) you attend a 'Getting Started with Pictometry Online' webinar first.

This introductory webinar is targeted for the insurance industry user. Pictometry Online can help you prepare reports, review a renewals, and verify information. Make measurements, and then save the image to your computer, so that you can include it in a report as a visual aid. Navigate around the risk you are assessing to get a candid view from above, from your computer.

Learn how to carry out tasks commonly performed by insurance users:

  • Measuring Square Footage - Use the Area Tool to find the square footage of a structure.
  • Fire Separation - Use the Distance Tool to measure the exposure between structures. Then decide if you should to measure the square footage of the neighboring structures.
  • Risk Assessment - Learn how to navigate around the corners, zoom in and see the risk from many perspectives, virtually looking around the corner.
  • Hazard Reports - Create a Hazard Report with a few clicks to create flood and other types of reports.
